dewpt

what is dewpt

an ambient ideation canvas. give it a seed — a topic, a question, a half-idea — and words condense out of latent space: some obvious, some strange. each one lives a few seconds, then evaporates. that's not a bug — ephemerality is the point. pin the words that catch you and they crystallize, gold, into your condensate. play, not productivity.

the name is the meteorological abbreviation for dew point: the threshold where invisible vapor becomes visible water.

the weather, glossed

dewpoint: how strange the words get. low: only the obvious condenses. high: far-field vapor precipitates.
altitude: how abstract. ground level is concrete tactics; high altitude is underlying concepts.
drizzle: how fast new words condense.
condensate: the harvest: words you've pinned — or your own, typed straight in — ready to copy out.
evaporated: the ghost trail: the last twenty words that faded. click one to condense it again.
condense / evaporate: the verbs: words condense (appear) and evaporate (fade). every word does both unless you pin it.

inspired by kevin kelly's "latent space as a new medium" (july 2026) — the idea that a model's space of almost-ideas is a place you can wander, and that the white space between the known ideas is worth prospecting.

the moves themselves — prospect, pin, release — are glossed under the ? beside the sliders.

enter a seed to begin condensation

dewpoint 35 how far from the seed the vapor condenses: low, only the obvious; high, far-field and surreal.

altitude 25 what kind of words condense: low, concrete and specific; high, underlying concepts.

drizzle 50 how fast new words condense — pace only, it doesn't change what appears.
